Often people ask " How to deal with fear when facing an opponent or how not down when facing an opponent ? "
Here I try to give tips " Overcome Fear In Fighting / Faced Opponent "
In martial arts , fight is a moment that will surely be faced by any member / practitioner , of course, for those who are qualified to do so . At least they have been training for 1 year before you step into this fight session . Opponent gets comparable or equivalent to us both in height , weight and experience to fight , do not make us tremble to take the fight . Mentally we will be tested if we are able to fight someone who is not comparable to us , physically ( height and weight ) and experience factors are above us .
What would we do if faced with an opponent like that ?
There are several tips that can be used as a benchmark for us to overcome our fears .
1 . Practicing and Thinking Positive
Practice earnestly , repeating itself all the movements that we can be in the gym . Every time we show the progress of each movement ( both punches and kicks ) will add to the sense of simply believing in ourselves . In addition to advances in movement , progress in the form of physical exercise such as push - ups, sit - ups , chin - ups and other physical activity will also boost your confidence in us .
Think positive if we 're feeling scared , do not make us think that does not need or think negative like issued a statement :
- Well I am a huge opponent , if hitting punch to be able mentally ,
- Well he's already got experience of playing at the global level , I definitely lost
- I can not possibly beat him , wrote his feet as big as elephants . Once tending to break up my legs .
Replace the statement to be as follows
- Well I can be a golden opportunity to see the caliber of opponents as he , I would tunjukin my ability to him .
- Big agency can not necessarily push - ups as much as I or my split . Feel the kick and punch me later .
- Not necessarily as big as it has legs as hard as my shins .
2 . Compete with Coach
As much as possible , have the opportunity to exercise your fight with the coach . As a coach will provide guidance for us who are learning . That way , we do not need to be afraid if a coach would beat us up battered .
A coach can certainly have experience fighting far above you , especially if you train coaches ever get achievement in the tournament or championship martial arts event . Many clues can we get from a coach .
3 . Adhering Tournament
If you have reached levels sufficient to do battle , take your time to follow the tournament . Follow the first local tournament or tournament between the exercise group if there is one.
In your first tournament , you do not need to target to become a champion , you just have to overcome your fear in the first round . Why ?
In a championship we not only witnessed by fellow members of the exercise group , but we are watched by the general audience who come specifically to watch you compete in the arena . Interest of the audience is what can make you become the spirit or otherwise make you become more and more afraid . If you managed to conquer your fear in the first round ( whatever the outcome ) , you will become more and more PD ( Confidence ) than before . If it fails , do a review of your failure to overcome fear and see the tips first .
Overcoming fear is not easy , it took a long process and needs to be rounded intention to fight your fear . Some of the above tips you can use to overcome the fear , the rest depends on your own . Hopefully some of the above tips can help you overcome your fear in the fight.
